The start of the trip to the United States through the Darien jungle.

Hello guys, my main goal is to get to Mexico City, the road from Venezuela, which is my country, is not easy, due to all the problems or danger that it implies, such as robbery, kidnapping, extortion, therefore it must be very Cautious, but because I tell you this, I am basing it on the experiences of friends who have already made the trip and witnessed all these crazy things, my first stop before entering the Darien jungle would be Colombia. I must cross the country from the South to the north, as I had already mentioned in the previous post, the entire journey must be done by bus. Once in Colombia I must head north and reach a coastal town called Acandi. Once there in Acandi I must collect information about the prices to cross to Panama. This passage to Panama must be done in small high-speed boats that take approximately three hours across the open sea.

A recommendation from my friends who have already done that route is that once in the town of Acandí, Acandi is a coastal town in Colombia bordering Panama, once I arrive in Acandi I must keep a low profile and be very careful with people to those who ask for any type of information because of the risk of being robbed. The next step is to cross the open sea to the border with Panama, to enter the Darién jungle. First you will arrive at a camp where you must hire the services of a guide who will accompany you during the tour through the jungle. But we must be very attentive since you cannot hire the services of just any guide. Based on the information and experience of some friends who have already been through the jungle, they have given me their contacts to hire a trusted guide.

Maybe some people will wonder why you make such trips if it is so dangerous? I simply do it knowing the risks for my family. Venezuela is a wonderful country but the social situation is at its worst. We do not have quality health services, wages and salaries are the lowest in the world, which causes your purchasing power to be very low, you cannot afford the money. to buy the food necessary to live with dignity. Someone from another country told me, but in Spain the situation is very difficult and I responded to my friend, come to Venezuela so you can understand me. Friends who are reading me seriously, it is very difficult to make money in Venezuela. That's why I went to raise the money through donations. And maybe you will say I can't finance something crazy like that, but I tell you friend, don't do it for me, do it for my daughters who deserve a future which I want to make a reality with your donations for my trips to the United States.

Here are the links where you can make your donation according to your country.

Why should I leave my country?

My country is wonderful, I cannot deny it, it has great natural beauty, precious animal fauna and the most beautiful beaches on the planet. But the political system implemented 20 years ago has led the country to economic ruin. No matter how much I work, I only earn from my job, they only pay me $8 a month. So I have to do other additional jobs to be able to buy something for my family to eat. I am tired of working so much in my country and I don't see my economic progress. No matter how much effort I make, they do not bear fruit.

That's why I decided to go to the United States. I have been trying to raise the funds for two years but it has been very difficult for me. I have had to spend them on food, my oldest daughter was diagnosed with two tumors in her thyroid gland almost two years ago and the little I had collected was spent on medical treatments for my daughter. My daughter needs surgery to remove the tumors. His medical condition is another reason for me to go to the United States.

For those who want to donate for my trips, I can show you my daughter's medical examinations and the medical report where the Dr. requests to perform a surgical intervention to remove the tumors. And not with my story do I want to make you feel sorry for my economic condition and for requesting donations for my humble cause. Please note that it is a very dangerous road trip since flights from my country to the United States are suspended due to the sanctions imposed by the United States government on my country.

Nor is any Central American country giving visas to people of my nationality. Therefore my trip will be done entirely by road. I will begin traveling from my country to Colombia, then to Panama to cross the fearsome Darien jungle, then Costa Rica and so on to the following countries until I reach Mexico, where I would make use of an administrative resolution issued by the government of the United States, where Through an app I would request my asylum, but I must wait for its approval in Mexico to be able to legally enter the United States.

Although I included some things in my travel budget such as books, courses, medical insurance, I did it because the website required them and to be honest we know that I am not going to buy any of that, but the requested amount of your donations is what minimum to get to Mexico City. This trip is not for pleasure or an adventure, as I have already told you honestly, this trip is an odyssey with risk that I must take to get my family out of poverty. And it is not extreme poverty but we live in constant economic frustration. My plans for now are that I can get to the United States, maybe in the not distant future I can bring my family with me.
